Quantum Fiber offers two ways for low-income households to get fiber internet -- Lifeline and Simply Fiber Internet™.
Lifeline provides subscribers with a discount on monthly broadband service. The discount can be applied to any qualifying Quantum Fiber broadband package.
The Federal Communications Commission recently released an Order temporarily modifying Lifeline eligibility requirements for consumers impacted by the recent disasters.
If you are enrolled in FEMA’s Individuals and Households Program (IHP) because of Hurricane Helene or Hurricane Milton, you may qualify for the Lifeline program.
When approved for the Lifeline program, you may receive up to a $9.25 per month discount for phone, internet, or bundled services, or up to a $34.25 per month if you reside on eligible Tribal Lands.
You may apply for this assistance online at LifelineSupport.org or by mailing your application, which can be found online, to the following address:
Lifeline Support Center
PO Box 1000
Horseheads, NY 14845
To get a Lifeline benefit added to your Quantum Fiber account, follow these steps.
1. Qualify for Lifeline on the National Verifier website. Please use the information for the primary Quantum Fiber account holder when completing the program application. The Lifeline program requires that the program applicant and the account holder are the same person.
2. Once you receive your benefit eligibility confirmation from the National Verifier, complete this Quantum Fiber form to have Lifeline applied to your account.*
* If you are not currently a Quantum Fiber customer, you'll need to sign up for service before completing the form. Or, you can transfer Lifeline from another provider to Quantum Fiber.
The Lifeline discount can be applied to broadband internet service or voice service (including digital voice service), but not both.
Standard Lifeline provides federal monthly support of up to $9.25 for qualifying broadband service and $5.25 for voice services.
Tribal Lifeline offers a greater monthly discount as well as installation assistance through the Link-Up program to qualifying customers who live on federally-recognized Tribal lands.
Lifeline is available to qualified customers in every U.S. state. Qualification requirements vary by state. The general eligibility requirements are:
