Spotty connection - One device

Try a wired Ethernet connection

For devices that are Ethernet compatible, like computers, gaming systems, or TVs, switching from WiFi to Ethernet can provide a faster and more stable connection. Follow the steps below.

  1. Click one end of your Cat5 or Cat6 Ethernet cable into one of the yellow LAN ports on the bottom of the SmartNID or the back of the modem.

  2. Click the other end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on your personal device. 

 

Once the cord is plugged in firmly on both ends, your internet access should be instant.

Gateway modems - Plug in to one of the 4 yellow Ethernet ports on the back
