What to expect
The Quantum Fiber construction process includes pre-construction work, installing and preparing fiber-optic cabling for service, and restoration. We often work with contractors who help us during construction, and a Quantum Fiber project manager heads up the entire process, so every detail meets our high standards. We're also committed to complying with all permit and policy requirements in the communities where we work.
Pre-construction
Our team does a complete site survey to verify records and uncover any issues. Then, we mark any underground utilities and put contact info cards on every front door in the area to let you know construction starts soon.
Construction
You may see crews drilling or trenching to bury fiber-optic cables. Sometimes, we even place lines overhead on existing poles. After that, we put metal boxes or pedestals on some easements. These are connection points for homes in the neighborhood.
Restoration
We like to "leave it the way we found it." That's why our project managers make sure contractors do a complete, satisfactory job restoring any public or private property we work on back to its original condition.
